(Port) Wine of the month October 2016: White Port I: Bagos Douro 10y old White Port

Five of the leading White Port-Producers have unitedly produced a White Port to support the Charity organisation Bagos Douro. Andresen, Barao de Vilar, Dalva, Ferreira und Niepoort have unitedly created these 350 bottles. As with the O-PORT-UNIDADE Project it is twice as much fun to enjoy Port, if you additionally support the children in the Douro.

Tasting note from bottle 179/350: Mid-orange colour with some brown reflexes. Balanced, sweet and fruity apricot-nose. The palate also reveals yellow fruit and an excellent sweetness-acidity harmony. This continues in the very pleasant aftertaste. An excellent 10y old White Port. 17
